Aluminum Paste can be divided into two categories: leafing type and non-leafing type. During the grinding process, one fatty acid is replaced by another, which makes the Aluminum Paste have completely different characteristics and appearance, and the shapes of Aluminum flakes are snowflake, fish scale and silver dollar. Mainly used in automotive coatings, weak plastic coatings, metal industrial coatings, marine coatings, heat-resistant coatings, roofing coatings and so on. It is also used in plastic paint, hardware and home appliance paint, motorbike paint, bicycle paint and so on.

Water Based Aluminum Pigment, also known as aqueous Aluminum paste, developed with the development of aqueous coatings. Aluminum is a lively amphoteric metallic element and easy to react with water, acid and alkali. It should take special surface treatment when add in aqueous resin system. Among the market the methods of aqueous Aluminum paste can be divided into 4 categories:
① Add corrosion inhibitor; ② Chromic acid or chromate passivation; ③ Silica coating method; ④ Inorganic and organic double-coated or interpenetrating networks method(IPN). These methods have different advantages and disadvantages. Along with the higher requirements for environmental protection, the last two methods will be used more and more.

The aqueous Aluminum paste are widely used in aqueous automotive coatings, furniture and other decorative paint, cosmetics, food packaging, leather and cloth, children’s toys, etc..

Application Guide:
1.Foam slurry several ,inures later, stirring slowly and add the aqueous coatings emulsion, can add some dispersant appropriately to avoid cluster and particle precipitation.
2.Do not stir it in high speed, in case the high shear force destroy the coating of Aluminum pigment; the rotating speed should control in 300-800rpm.
3.For optimal results, you should better filter the aqueous coating.
4.In long term storage, Aluminum paste may generate particles. You can soak it with pure water or glycol ether several minutes, stir it slightly and then will appeared out.
5.Storage: Avoid direct sunlight; after using Aluminum paste, seal the drums cover soon.

- 1.Please make sure to confirm the sample before each use of Aluminumsilver paste.
- 2.When dispersing Aluminum-silver paste, use the pre-dispersing method: choose the appropriate solvent first, add the solvent into the Aluminum-silver paste with the ratio of Aluminum-silver paste to solvent as 1:1-2, stir it slowly and evenly, and then pour it into the prepared base material.
- 3.Avoid using high-speed dispersing equipment for a long time during the mixing process.

- 1.The silver Aluminumpaste should keep the container sealed and the storage temperature should be kept at 15°C-35°C.
- 2.Avoid direct exposure to direct sunlight, rain and excessive temperature.
- 3.After unsealing, if there is any remaining silver Aluminumpaste should be sealed immediately to avoid solvent evaporation and oxidation failure.
- 4.Long-term storage of Aluminumsilver paste may be solvent volatility or other pollution, please re-test before use to avoid loss.

- 1.In case of fire, please use chemical powder or special dry sand to extinguish the fire, do not use water to extinguish the fire.
- 2.If Aluminumsilver paste accidentally gets into eyes, please flush with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice.
